Ronald Beaubrun, Ph.D., ing.

Ronald Beaubrun received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnique Montreal, Canada, in 2002. From 2015 to 2018, he was the director of undergraduate studies in Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is currently a Full Professor in the same department, where he teaches computer networks and mobile communications.

In 2002, Prof. Beaubrun founded the Mobile Network Application Research (MONARC) group. His research interests include topics related to planning future wireless networks, cloud computing, wireless sensor networks (WSN), Internet of things (IoT), Mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANETs), Internet of vehicles (IoV), as well as security, and value-added services and applications in such systems. He is the author or co-author of more than sixty papers published in peer-reviewed journals and international refereed conferences. He has regularly served as a member of M.Sc. thesis and dissertation evaluation committees, in addition to serve as a reviewer for more than a dozen journals and as a member of technical program committees of more than twenty conferences. He has also contributed to graduate more than 30 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
